Charity Single & Awesome Support Slot!

Good evening.

Everyone ready for the X Factor final!?!

So I spent today in Maidenhead singing (even rapping) for the charity Christmas single run by the Maidenhead Advertiser and Denmark Studios to raise money for a local event next year. Keep your eyes peeled because as soon as it has been edited together you can view it here. It's very cheesy and I can already see the lads cringing at some of the lyrics ;-) However all for a good cause and a lot of fun, so definately worth backing.

We're having a special Christmas rehearsal in the next couple of weeks and plan to shoot an end of year video so look out for that too!

Finally, don't forget we're at The Cellars in Portsmouth this Monday supporting The Crave. These guys rock and have recently supported Deep Purple on tour. Tickets are only £6 and well worth it. Give us a shout if you'd like some or any further details.

In the meantime have a great weekend.

Thanks,
Karen

Quick hello...

Hey,

Just thought I'd post a quick blog before settling down with a glass of wine and roast dinner to see who's been voted off X Factor...can't help but get involved. Joe to win!

We had a great time at The Railway on Friday supporting Sons Of Albion. We'd like to thank everyone who stuck around to watch us play and especially to those who bought a CD after. We hope you enjoy it and look forward to staying in touch.

We're playing in Reading at The Purple Turtle on Thursday should anyone like to come along. Expect to be on stage at 9.30pm. It's a great venue, worth a visit so hope to see you there.

Aside from that we're really chuffed at the response we're getting to our newest song, Stop The World. If you haven't heard it, get to a gig quick!

Hope you've all had a great weekend.

Thanks,
Karen

So we finished writing new song, Stop The World, last night at practise which gets it's first airing at tomorrow's gig to celebrate Halloween at The St James Wine Vaults in Bath. Free entry, kicking off around 8.30pm, with support from City Beneath Her. Should be a cracking night!

Other news...Well we have made it to the semi-finals of the Music Week Unearthed Competition held in association with Music Week Magazine and Music Pin. Friday Afternoon Update

Good afternoon everyone.

So it's another Friday at work and I'm over the week and already into weekend mode! Ready for a beer ;-)

Just thought I'd drop by to say we've been working on a new song recently called Stop The World. A proper jump around number. Can't wait to air it at future gigs coming up soon and hope you all like it.

We're in Bath next weekend for a free entry Halloween gig (I've got my devil horns sorted!) Should be a great night and then November sees us at a number of different venues over the South, supporting Sons Of Albion at The Railway and performing at places we've not been before. We're looking forward to it and as always would love to see you there.

Hope you've been enjoying the video blogs, get ready for a special Halloween upload after the Bath gig. Want to be on the video? Get along to St James Wine Vaults!

Have a great weekend.

Two gigs in three days...(Railway & Proud Galleries)

Hello,

Well thank goodness I took today off of work. Shattered after playing down in Winchester on Sunday and Camden last night. Was it worth it? ... Of course it was!

Also, Monday night I attended a musicians clinic in Camden organised by Tourdates which was very beneficial and provided us with a few contacts to help take the music further - fingers crossed and thank you to the panel that night.

So the gigs...

Well a big thank you to those who came down to both and for new audience members that appreciated the music and bought an album or took some flyers and badges away with them. We look forward to staying in touch.

Tommy Flynns next Thursday, which should be a good one. We're already looking forward to it and hope you're up for it. Just in the process of organising a trip to Reading to play in The Purple Turtle there so get ready for that too.

Lots going on and to keep you amused in the meantime we hope you enjoy the videos from Sunday.

Thanks,
Karen

Monday 28 September 2009

A great gig and more to come...

A huge thanks to everyone that came down to The Railway to watch us last night. We had a great time and there will be a video blog from the night on youtube very soon -just trying to get the camera hooked up to the computer.

If you weren't able to make it down do not fear! We are playing again this Tuesday at Proud Galleries in Camden.....

LINE UP
Harry Crampton
The Velvetines
Thinking For Tuesday
City Stereo

It is a free entry gig so you can save your pennies for a quick drink, or two.

We are busy gigging and writing through October so we hope you can make it along at some point and we have a few new songs in the pipeline starting to take shape which we hope will make it into the set by the end of the month.

Hope you had a great weekend and have a great week.

Thanks,
TFT

Live Shows: London & Winchester

Morning,

Just thought I'd drop you a line to say we have just been booked to play in Winchester next Sunday 27th September...
We're the last act to be added to the bill organised by local record label Angry Badger Records. We had a great night last time we played at their showcase in Southampton, so as big fans of The Railway venue, we're really looking forward to it.
It's only £4 entry so if you fancy coming down it would be great to see you.

Two days after that, on Tuesday 29th September, we're playing at The Proud Galleries in Camden. High profile event, fantastic venue and FREE entry! We would appreciate support from anyone up for it.

More information can be found on our gigs page.

That's it for now.

Oh, found out today Sister Ray have sold copies of our album in store - hooray!

Have a great weekend everyone.

Thanks,

Saturday Night High

Hello everyone!

Yes, even though I am at work I am still on a high from Saturday night and would like to say a big thank you to everyone that came down to Talking Heads to support us. Also much appreciation to our new fans who bought our album and helped make up the fantastic audience on the night.

It would seem our newest song 'Wake Me' is making its way up the charts as a potential favourite for a number of people which is always good to hear.

Saturday was a great buzz supporting Them Is Me, who may I add are top lads. We had a brilliant night and would love to do it again in the not too distant future.

Until then we are looking to knuckle down and finish writing a couple more new songs we have not yet completed. Then to our gigs in London...

Looking forward to seeing you all again soon.

The Bank Holiday

This weekend sees us gig free as Chris returns from his holiday and the rest of us just enjoy a long weekend.
Kaz is becoming another year older so we will be celebrating that over the weekend and will try to get some candid photos for you as it could get messy...!

Tom is going to Splashdowne in Poole for a friends birthday - waterpark fun!

We do have quite a few gigs just around the corner so please keep your eyes peeled for those. The next big one is Them is Me in Southampton. They are a great band and it will be a great night. Still a few tickets left but going fast. Last year the gig was a sell out so buy early!

Well have a great weekend, I know we all intend to, and see you again very soon.

Its a Shame

We were meant to be in Camden tonight playing a gig but due to circumstances out of our control the gig is no longer happening.
Its a shame but we will be back there soon enough I am sure.

We still have plenty of other gigs to look forward to and we are all really looking forward to the Big Bike Bash on the 22nd August (or whichever the Saturday is).

Till then...

Hello TFT followers!

Just thought we'd let you know we have been booked, last minute, to play at The Proud Galleries in Camden tomorrow night.

So if you've got the night free, come on down, have a beer with us and see some great live bands for free. We're on about 9.30pm.

Thanks a lot and look forward to seeing any of you that can make it.

Slowly, Slowly, catchy Monkey

Well its been a while since we were in the Studio. What we didn't realise was how long it would take to do all the bits we wanted afterwards.

We are just tweaking the final bits of art work with one of the nicest guys, Dave, who has designed and pandered to our ideas. The work however is all his and we think he has come up with some amazing ideas......you can see them soon.

The thing is we are also having to set up all the things like barcodes and getting it distributed and having never done it before you just don't think it will take as long as it does.

Hey, what can you do but learn for next time.

Thanks for being patient and we look forward to seeing you soon at a gig.
